New Bill Tounament 1/5/08

On Saturday, the varsity finished 1st at the 18-team Jim Newbill Invitational at Geneva High School . It was a great team effort against a lot of schools that our guys don't normally see. Ten of our 14 wrestlers finished in the top eight in their weight class, with Terry Ward (103) and David Lutz (145) taking first and Quinn Francis (160) placing second.

Dimitri Simeakis (171) 7th,

Pat Clegg (215) 5th,

Robbie Mains (285) 3rd.

Mac Mahoney (112), Jason Tacamonti (125), Alex Orton (130) and Allan Cameron (189) added to the point total. In these tournaments, which our guys won by 5.5 points over second place Stillman Valley , every win is important and contributes to the point total; it was a fantastic team victory.
