Brain Allen was The State Champion in the Hwt. Class, with a record of 47-0 on the season!

DARIEN — First impressions aren't everything.
When Hinsdale Central's wrestling team faced Sandburg Tuesday in the Class 3A Hinsdale South dual team sectional, the Eagles won 43-20. While the final might not show it, the Red Devils performed well, even as their season came to a close.
"That's all we asked of our guys, to go out and compete hard," Central coach Jason Hayes said. "We know Sandburg has a tough team. They're probably one of the teams that could end up being state champions, ... FULL STORY

DARIEN — Sandburg wrestling coach Eric Siebert thought his team was “a little flat and uninspired” Tuesday night.
Considering the emotional roller coaster of the last two weeks — with the joy of seeing three individual state champions crowned combined with the heartbreaking Feb. 10 death of Sandburg athletic director Bruce Scheidegger, the Eagles could be forgiven for being a little drained.
Sandburg nonetheless easily earned a return trip to state, where it will attempt to win back-to-back state titles, with a 43-20 win over Hinsdale Central in a Class 3A Hinsdale South Sectional semifinal.
